Depression & Low Self Esteem

Depression can look different for everyone and may impact motivation, relationships, confidence, daily functioning, and the ability to find enjoyment in things that once felt meaningful. You may also experience low self-esteem, struggles in confidence, and questioning of your worth.

My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, while incorporating evidence-based strategies from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Behavioral Activation when appropriate. Together, we can explore unhelpful thought patterns, build healthier coping skills, increase meaningful activity, and work toward reconnecting with the people, values, and experiences that matter to you.

I may also incorporate Narrative Therapy to help you examine the stories you have developed about yourself and begin separating your identity from negative beliefs, past experiences, or feelings of inadequacy. Therapy can be a space to build self-compassion, strengthen confidence, challenge self-critical thinking, and develop a more balanced and meaningful relationship with yourself.
